Andre Schenker was born in Vincennes, Indiana on 28 December 1897, the son of Francois Xavier and Maria (Loeiffer) Schenker . He was a graduate of the Connecticut Agricultural College and Yale University ; he also studied at Rutgers and Columbia Universities.
